It has come to my attention that there may be a misunderstanding about the Korean Won relative to the US Dollar. So I decided to gather some cash on hand to clarify this matter.
A single USD (1.00) is (very) roughly 1,000 Won. In fact, they
are used in a similar matter as 1,000 and higher Won are usually
exchanged as bills, and less than 1,000 Won are usually exchanged as
coins. They are basically analogous to the US Dollar and pocket change,
though the value is somewhat less; Last I checked, 1 USD is of greater
value than 1,000 Won (About 1,400 Won roughly, but this changes
frequently due to currency-exchange stuff).
